Layout Hunting

Layout Hunting is one of the most effective ways to target waterfowl and it is our specialty. Fowl Dawgs targets Long Tail Ducks, Sea Ducks such as the Surf, Common and White Wing Scoter and Diver Ducks to include The Greater and Lessor Scaup (Blue Bill), Red Head, Canvasback, Ring Necked Duck, Bufflehead, Ruddy Duck, and Golden Eye. It is not uncommon for us to shoot the random Mallard, Widgeon, Pintail, Gadwall or Teal. Fowl Dawg's goal is to give you the best gunning opportunity possible. No matter the species and weather conditions, Captain Mike puts in the work to get you on the birds and gives you the “in your face” shooting experience that you desire.

Merganser Hunts

Lake Michigan and Green Bay offer the opportunity to gun all three Mergansers found in the US. The Common, Hooded and Red Breasted Merganser love to feed on our abundant baitfish and are often found in huge flocks of feeding birds.
